Personal InjuryPersonal Injury

The Personal Injury department has experience in handling a wide range of claims from the minor tripping accident to cases of utmost severity.

The firm has achieved APIL accreditation for its commitment to the APIL Code of Standards which respects the rights of those injured as a result of the negligent acts of others.

We have the ability and resources to handle cases in a proactive yet sympathetic way to the needs and concerns of the client. We recognise that anyone who suffers an injury or develops a medical condition has many worries arising from their particular circumstances. As a department we are able to advise on both the legal and practical aspects of the claim as well as effectively progress the case for the client.

The firm is a member of the Headway Charity solicitors list.

We deal with a vast range of cases involving personal injury caused by the negligence or breach of duty of others. Our experience encompasses such claims as those against local authorities for injuries caused by badly maintained pavements, injuries caused by an employer’s failure to safeguard the equipment used by those in the workplace, injuries sustained in road traffic accidents (including those where the party at fault is uninsured or unidentified).

We also deal with claims arising from exposure to hazardous substances or processes in the workplace. These claims include industrial deafness, chest diseases (asbestosis and pneumoconiosis) and vibration white finger.

We handle cases where injuries have been sustained from criminal assault and sexual abuse. These claims usually proceed through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) and we recognise that these types of cases often require a particularly sensitive approach.
