Three of the firm’s partners, Robert Williams Roger Morris and Simon Thomas attended the International Rugby Board Judicial Training Workshop held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The workshop was conducted by Tim Gresson, eminent New Zealand Lawyer and Chairman of the IRB Judicial Panel. Parts of the seminar were also conducted by Darren Bailey, IRB Senior Legal Counsel.
The workshop was aimed at developing and improving the skills of Citing and Judicial Officers appointed by the Welsh Rugby Union to serve in all competitions including the RBS Six Nations, Heineken Cup and Magners League.
Also in attendance at the workshop were Welsh Rugby Union Chairman David Pickering and Welsh Rugby Union IRB Representative, Gerald Davies.
Already this season Robert, Roger and Simon have, between them, acted as Citing Officers at a number of Magner’s League and International matches and sat on a number of disciplinary hearings arising out of the Heineken Cup. Details of those cases and the judgements delivered can be found on the ERC Rugby Website |
