Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs has published the new rates for statutory sick pay and statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay for 2009/10. The rates are subject to Parliamentary approval in 2009.

From April 2009:

• the standard rate of statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay will rise from £117.18 to £123.06 per week; and
• the standard rate of statutory sick pay will rise from £75.40 to £79.15 per week.
