Neath Port Talbot have commenced work on the Local Development Plan which, when approved , will set a framework for the development and use of land in the Neath Port Talbot for a 15 year period, between 2011 and 2026

The Council has invited landowners, developers, private individuals and groups to submit Candidate Sites to them. These are simply sites that may be suitable for development. 

Anybody can submit candidate sites for consideration and the uses could be for housing, industry, tourism and recreation or a wide range of other uses There is not even a requirement that the submission has to come from the landowner.

At this stage, it is an opportunity to suggest a site to the Council for inclusion in the Local Development Plan and to open the debate on potential development sites within the County Borough.
